AFP - Costa Rica is set to be the first country in the American continent to ban recreational hunting after the country's legislature approved the popular measure by a wide margin. :eek:

I believe it was a referendum, or at least very popular with the citizens there. Subsistinence hunting is still allowed. There is not much for tourists to hunt and this supposedly make Cost Rica more tourist friendly.:huh: Tourism is a large source of revenue.
