Default Squirrel

I had a squirrel pot pie a year ago that was fantastic. So with some cabin fever kicking in already thinking of a squirrel hunt. Anybody have any good ideas for squirrel pot pie?

Most deer seasons are closed or will be very soon. Anybody else do a small game hunt to curb the need to hunt?

I will do some fox hunting after my deer season is over in two weeks. Our fox season ends March 14 and we can hunt it with a 22. I know that's not a big deal for PA people but we don't get any rifle hunting in NJ but 22.
I had squirrel once and I didn't like it

Nobody likes fat squirrels. Time to get back what you vested in your bait pile.

Woah, Quak! Now we're talking! I might be able to play off squirrel for chicken with the ole lady with a recipe like that! Is that a Quak recipe or did you find that somewhere?

Hunt4life you already know how I'm going to answer that.

it was something i just thought of ,i figured you can do it to chicken why not squirrels the maple syrup in the water gives them an awsome sweet taste . yo hunt4life most the meat is on the back legs but the back section just like a deer is tender as heck ,,just add some old millwalkies and your set !lol

I had squirrel last year in VA. , my buddy cooked it , but did not parboil them first - very hard to get off the bone but when you did it was better than chicken . I would diffently parboil first .

Haven't had squirrel in years. The best way to cook I've found is the crock pot, bones fall off of meat.
