She should blend well in late season when there is a little snow on the marsh. Doesnt look like any duck dog I have ever seen in the past.

Hey son of sam, I don't know if you hunt your dogs with a camo neoprene vest but with that dark head and a vest on your golden. I wouldn't worry about the white fur at all. good luck with the new pup!

Last dog I hunted Died in 2010. He was a Y Lab. With this one being long haired I will likely use a vest like you mentioned. I have never owned a female dog. But im excited to get her here and see how she learns.

My uncle had one n tried her for duck hunting for a while n I think k she did OK. Then he got a Newf/bk lab mix n she was a great looking duck dog but he stopped hunting n never saw what she could been

A bit of a late reply, but I felt I should follow up. The pup turned out to be a very well mannered and great companion. However a retriever she is not. I can get her to fetch toys about 50% of the time but she has no stamina. Not sure how much is the mixed breed and how much is the individual dogs personality. On the up side the wife is happy because she doesnt shed at all, no druel and she doesnt chew things. Currently 1-1/2 y/o and 80lbs, looks like a robust full size poodle.
