Hi, I have property that butts up to the Mcnamara Wildlife Refuge in NJ.

I want to hunt the back tree line.

What is needed for me to aquire a gun permit, bow permit ?

What licenses are needed to hunt on my property.

first you need to find out what zone your in.
then that will tell you you seasons and permits.
your area may be over the counter, may be lottery.
if your hunting the tree line make sure you can retrieve a deer from the refuge.

As far back as I can remember McNamara is WMA not a refuge.

can you hunt WMA land or what about refuge????

Pass your hunter safety course, aquire a valid license, and read the game regulations and purchase the proper permit for the season and game you plan to hunt. Your zone is 34 I believe. Aquiring a gun purchasers card is a long process, sometimes 6months to a year. Just borrow a weapon from a friend in the meantime. I grew up hunting that game preserve, so feel free to ask me for info.
