I didnt want to hyjack the stand theft thread.
I'm 6ft, 275 will a climber suit me, how hard are they to use?

Some models are easy to use, stand up sit down, are exactly how they sound if you can stand and sit you're good, some have a 350lb capacity and are made specifically for big hunters.
Sounds like a visit to Cabelas is in order.

My climber is a timbertall. By far the best treestand on the market (IMO). And if I'm not mistaken the lightest treestand on the market. I use the light version. I think their is a brute model thats 300lbs+. Look into them. I love mine. It's been everywhere. The one I have now is my second. I used my first so much I pratically wore it out. I sent it back to the company and they gave me a bran new one. Best thing is they are right here in Pa. Look them up trust me you'll love them.

Lone Wolf is the best stand out there. Its quite, simple and extremly sturdy. I think 350# is the max.

check out sumits models.i never had a problem with them.go with a cable that wraps the tree.the metal 'V' that wraps the tree and is supposed to bite doesnt always get a true bite and that could lead to bad things.

I gotta go with the Summit as well I have hunted out of a lot of different climbers and really like them. They are quite and very stable. I can stand on one corner of the stand(very close to the ground) and bounce up and down and it won't move. I am 6'2" and 270 and feel very comfortable at 25' in these stands.

100% AGREE!!! The API is the best stand I ever used,Far better than my Summit. My Summit scares the pants off me.Depending on the tree(bark) the smother the more that Summit wants to slip. The Seat always falls.I also had a Loggy that was OK but setting up was a nightmare.
API the way to go you wont be disappointed

+1 Lone Wolf. I have the Sit and Climb. It is very light weight, durable, packs flat, quiet while climbing and worth every penny!

I like the summit viper. I have been using the same stand for a few years and love it. One word of advise always carry a folding saw. There might be the perfect tree that needs a few limbs cut so you can get to the height you need. Stihl makes a good folding saw, around $40.
