I'm breeding my German shorthaired pointer dam (ALL BLACK):) TO A White with brown head and spots sire. Both dog's hunting lines are impeckable. Both Come from Field Trialing Champion Blood. The dogs are hunted constantly (just ask my wife:mad:) I'm looking for serious offers on the dogs. This is not the time we normally breed, but she came in early. From a training stand point, purchasing now will give you ample time to train and hunt your pup. Feel free to email me with inquires.

As I'm not a sponser on the Barn, I can not discuss prices on the forum. Please email me. I also offer "Starting" the dog so there is less work for you, if you are not an experienced trainer/dog handler. We can discuss this via email or phone. Also spread the word to your friends if they are hunters, I don't like to sell the dogs to non hunting families, as I feel it is unfair to the dogs, not to utilize their instincts.

"Jake" has arrived. He and Briar are getting aquaited as we speak. Hopefully they will get the job done soon. I set the Honeymoon suite up at the "Steady Point Bar" so they will have a compfy place to copulate. Remember if you want a pup(s) you need to get on the list. Its first come first serve for most of the dogs. Two have already been spoken for.

Jake and Briar have done their part. The delivery date will be some time between the 18th and 22th of January. I will post when the pups come with pics. Remember if you are serious about the pups, email me with your info so I can put you on the list. As of now four pups are spoken for. I will email all interested parties with further info. If you like I can also email you the bloodlines of the sire and dam. Let me just say 3X NFC/FC Rawhide's Clown, FC/AFC Mad Cassino's Beck, Orson KS Von Pottsiepen, FC Rawhide's Jossie Wells. My friends the list goes on and on. That being said, I'm going grouse hunting.

Hi, very interested in a female pup. I've bred shorthairs for 30 year. From The Forest Kennel. Would like to see the pedigree on both the sire and dam back approx. 7 generations. If possible e-mail me @ dogmanketo@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from you soon.

Black female cool definitely delivered from Germany recently hopefully.

Thanks, Keith

Keith,
Sorry I have 4 buyers on the list right now for females. If someone backs out, I'll be in touch. If you are interested in a male, I would be happy to provide you with both the dam and sire's pedigree's. Briar's German lines are strong, but as you know (being a breeder) dad's american lines will probably over power mom's. Meaning more white and livers. I am hoping for a black rhone though. I'll be keeping that one for the guide service.(as long as it shows promise) Sorry to those who were hoping for a black rhone, but blacks (rhones)are rare!

Gentlemen,
5 pups are spoken for! I'm forseeing all the females gone at this time. Two buyers are going with male/or female. If you are interested in a pup for the upcoming season, I suggest you get in contact with me, to get on the list. I will be more than happy to set up a session so you can see how the dam works. As the sire is back at his home, that will not be do-able, but I think you can get an accurate perspective on instincts on the pup, by watching mom. If you like We can incorporate this with a guided hunt and I'll just use the dam. Thus you can see how she works and you kill some birds. It's a win/ win situation.

Russ, it was greattalking to you the other day. Give me some dates in Dec / Jan for a hunt with 2 or 3 guys. Want to see some grouse and watch that dog work. It may take me over the edge for a pup.

Well Briar is definately pregnant! She has a food oversion. She rarely eats all of her food. Her food intake is probably cut in half. It should only last for another day or two, but I still hate when they don't eat. She is due for an ultrasound in a couple of days. I don't think I'll take her for it until she starts to eat again. Just had another male pup spoken for, can't wait for next week, when grouse hunting opens again. I kicked up 4 when I was hunting this past week and I wasn't even in grouse habitate. But that goes with my old saying "Grouse are where they are and they aren't where they aren't!" That being said, I hate huntin in the rain. I'm going to put on the woodburing stove and drink a beer. Anyone want to join me!!!

Gents,
We have another litter due in the middle of July. Shoot me an email if you would like to take a look at the litter after they come in. We will take orders. Remember I do start dogs if you want an easier time training and being able to hunt pup out the gate.

Adam,
Will try to get some posted picks of Briar up. If you search my posts you'll find a bunch. As far as "Jake" the stud, he is suppose to be doing a photo shoot for the "Hunt of a Life Time Banquet" in the near future, So I could post some of those. When I get up to his home. Hope all is well! What are you thinking of putting another dog on the bill? Interesting!!!

As quoted on the last litter, Briar and Jake's Pedigree's are excellent, if you want just to hunt or you are also looking to compete in trials. All though I do not trial my dogs, they are put through a trial every time I take a client out on a grouse hunt! If you are in the market for a pup, you'll want to look at these dogs! :shoot:HERE'S A FEW PICKS OF THE DAME! Chesham's Kennels Barberry Briar. She's grease lightin'.

The litter came. If you check the other post on Steady Point Puppys are here. You can check them out. There is a male avaliable, but he is going to be started. I will let him go in 6 to 8 months. Thanks for the interest. The next breed will be in a years time. I am going to give her a break. Plus she needs to teach her pups to hunt.
