Personally, I would use parker's crossbow broadheads..my cousin has killed a few deer with his and they performed well.

You cant go wrong with the Parker or Rage heads. Make the shot count.

You will get 1000 different opinions about this. Decide on whether you want a fixed or expandable type first. Then decide on the amount of grains you want. From there, test a couple different name brands out and go with what flies best out of your set up. As for the best, depends on what your looking for....speed...strength...accuracy...penetration.. etc..i personally shoot the thunderhead 100 and 125s out of my recurve, compound and x bow. Good luck and let us know what you go with.

I've tried a few different mechanicals and really didn't like any of them.
I decided to go old school in a sense. I like the Magnus brand. It's simple fixed head, with half serated edge, and the small razor blade 90 deg from main blade.
I've taken numerous deer with each head, just a quick check to make sure it's not bent, sharpen the edge a little, and it's good to go.

Tried em all. Went back to NAP. Spitfires use em on my V Bow as well as my Son's Parker Tornado .
No more experimenting for me lots of good Broadheads out there but I always found something I didn't like with most. Went back to Spitfires there is nothing I found that I didn't like.
I could list my likes and dislikes on the dozen or so heads I experimented with but want to keep the thread short.
My biggest issue with Fixed Heads is my SKB Bow case is very compact. Fixed Heads have cut my Bow String exploding my Bow in the case. Hate that :D
Mechanical Heads for me and I will tell ya I have taken 100 + Deer up to 200 pounds and never had a lost Deer. Some were harder to find than others :D But if the shot placement was decent it was a Dead Deer

Grim reaper crossbow heads might be a god option i shoot the grimreaper whitetail specials 2 inch cutting area and leave a great blood trail off of my bear truth 2 70 lb draw weight i shot through the spine of a deer this year and it exited out the brisket absolutly un heard of but i did it .....anyhow the customer service with them is absolutely unreal i broke a trokar tip on one of the heads they sent me a new tip and all new blades for a whole set of heads....... personally customer service means alot to me if you stand behind your product its because you believe in it .....check out there youtube videos

I use 100gr NAP Spitfires in my Compound and X-Bow. Never a problem with them on a well placed shot.
