Vinny, it's funny how many people don't know what real misletoe looks like or grows. Think its a Williamstown thing lol:D
We usually shoot it out as well, but 3 years ago there was a clump growing right off side of road on Winlsow, used a truck, ladder and pole saw....got it done:thup:
If you get lucky can use a climber on a tree next to and then pole saw, the gum trees it grows on are usually to big for a climber..
You want to talk about crazy looks from cars passing.

tommy that is funny .i know where some is only like 30 ft up but its rite along the side of whitehall rd.lol. i can only imagine what people would b thinking lol. than again its near the lakes so they probly just yell stuff laker like .lol. for yrs i always wondered what that stuff was up in the gum trees in the swamp . i saw a show on pinebarrens and a guy showed what it was . did u know youre not allowed to take it from state property? its supposedly protected. try explaining that to youre buddies y u got ticket on hunting license .lol

first you need a good pair of binoculars. you need to find out weather its male or female. male has the small white berries, thats what you want.. then a good set of climbers ,rope, guts, and pole saw. you want to lower it down gently so you dont break it up. I used to sell mistletoe. alot of work but i made some cash. shooting it down just breaks it up.

not much around here,just last week comeing home from va couldn't belive the amount i saw along rt13 then agian monday in cambridge md was loaded with it even spots where you could reach it from the ground, like you say tho shootin it knock the berrys off
