We got a MONSTER this year!!!! At exactly 4:00pm on our last drive we harvested a 734lbs boar! This bear has been in our drives before and snuck out. Finally we were able to get a shot on this monster we've know about.
Suprisingly enough we didn't put up any other bears this year. Bummer, but we did get the 2nd biggest bear harvested this (I havent seen the lasted update yet, but so far 2nd last time I checked).
I would of taken more pics with my camera, but the batteries kicked. However, I have some on my cell phone. When I get a chance to download them I'll post more.

LOL now this was a task!!! Thank goodness we got this bear on one of our private swamps. One of our guys has a grizzly 660. So we stood the quad straight up. Then we ratchet strapped the bear to the back of the quad. Then about 5-7 guys pushed the front of the quad back down. We then had one of our guys (he's about 280lbs) sit on the front while someone throttled and steered off the the quad. The tires flatened, and the quad litterally road on it's skid plates the whole way out of the woods. Thank goodness we killed the bear at the end of the drive. Don't know how we would of goten that bear out if we actually shot him in the swamp.

Well the luck hunter's taxi cam to our garage and skined out the bear. I know he took a rough measurement of the skull and he estimated around 21&13/16. Which if this measurement holds true (sure he'll loose some after drying) the bear will make booner. Age, we won't find out till the PGC mails back the results from the tooth.
We all hunt together in this crew. One hunter shoots a bear we all got a bear and we are all on the same page about that. We work together. Funny though if Steve (the name of the hunter whom harvested the bear) missed that bear I was the next stander in line if the bear ran the way he was going. Man the wife wouldn't of been happy about the mount I would of gotten (probably a good this I didn't shoot that bear LOL)

Years back we shot a monster bear in Maine at my mothers place. We did the same thing that you did getting it on a quad.

Oh you be very suprised. Swamps so thick you can't see 5 feet infront of you yeah. I believe you could walk right past em.
