My family's dog went into his first Junior dog test today with my dad handling him. He did great, had a little problem with one water mark that called for him to go through part of the pond and onto a penisula and grab the duck and come back through the water. Tiller decided he forgot the mark and started just swimming around but after a minute or so of swimming he got up onto land and retrieved the duck. So proud. He is our family's first hunting dog and my dad is doing a lot of the handling with my family helping him a lot too.

Congrat's on your Pooch's first ribbon. Training is fun and addicting. But a trained dog is a pleasure and asset to hunt with.
Best Wishes on the path to your JR. HUNT TITLE.

All the field trials and hunt tests in the US are listed at entryexpress.net you can check out there if you want to go and view any of them. In April and September/October are several heald in Hammonton, NJ and just off I-195 near Assunpink Wildlife area near Allentown, NJ. Many are held in DE near the C & D Canal area by many DE/MD/PA clubs. Unfortunately there is very little land/water areas to hold these activites at. But it is well worth your while to go, 150 dogs or so entered, pros from all over the east coast and amateur handlers. You will see fantastic dog work and i'm sure pickup many tips for working your dog.
