worked 6am-12;30 said enuff, went for a LONG walk for pheasant to try to get in shape for deer season.
Blessed again today, havent settled on the recipe yet, but got some good ideas.
Dont think I ever had such a good day on pheasant in many many years.
Yeah stocked birds but they were runners, wind was at least 15 steady,
2-3 mile walk in to this PGC/Co-op to a coal region reclamation area,
but they do put better birds in, no chickens looking at you as they walk the road here,
they hear you, chest high CRP, they ran, have to plan your pinch points to a dead end to get them to fly,
went 2 for 4 - 1st got, second missed clean, 3rd knock down other guys dog found it coming along behind me he took it home, 4th gave me my 2 and done in 3 hours,
could not have lasted 4 hours, damn getting old sucks :thdown:
damn long walk out though too let me tell you, earned these two.....
