Tried to Rattle, grunt and bleet, but as always..Nothing.
Then about 5:30pm I saw a really nice buck running a doe. Thought they would come my way but no.
Also had a small spike running a doe about 20yds away.
Then about 6:10 I had a basket 8ptr walk by my stand. Looked like he was on a mission plus I never saw him before.
When I got down my stand i kicked up another deer. Man you could smell the musk..
Cant wait to hunt everyday this week.

Quite the opposite for me here in PA today. I usually hunt Saturdays on different properties than I do during the week due to work. Most of the week I was seeing rutting activity of at least a few bucks grunting and checking out some does - definitely not hot and heavy but something. This morning saw only 2 yearlings and rather dead and then tonight on another property that is loaded with scrapes & rubs - 3 guys total see see 5 does including yearling triplets. I think the very warm weather pushed them nocturnal tonight in my area.

Either that or the bucks are running doe somewhere else.

Could be the case but not unusual for these 2 properties. I would say we see allot of sign but don't usually see much rut activity until last week of archery on either of these spots for some reason.

The rut is deffinatly kicking up here. Last night I spot lighted one of my spots. I saw a really nice 5x2 (his main beam was busted above the browtine) chase a doe right across the road infront of me. Then the next field I spotted a 5 pt with a really nice body. Nose to the ground just trailin. This morning I saw a nice 8 while driving to work. So I'd say they're moving a lot more.
