The rut when does it peak

Guys,
Im stuck working 7pm to 7 am for the next 14 days. Will the rut still be going on when i get off this shift. I just cant hunt now, I need sleep.

not sure of an exact peak but the bucks are roaming in daylight right now like crazy... byt the time you get done it will be full swing to post peak. you still havea greta chance at a buck but it will require some different tactics

Not sure when it peaks, but they are chasing already!

Hunted Bucks co. this morning and was in the stand before first light. Not long after daybreak, I heard running in the leaves behind me. 20 minutes later a big doe came running downhill followed by a small 8 pointer. She was clearly panting after being chased so hard.

No shots on either, as I filled my buck tag with a 6 pt. on opening day and couldn't get a shot at the doe! Finished the morning seeing a doe w/ her 2 fawns, so no shots. Great day in the woods, and it looks like the next few weeks should be alot of fun!

The rut is composed of at least three different periods. If you are asking when will the craziest part of pre rut end I would say around Nov 10 to 12. At that time a lot of breeding starts taking place and trophy bucks start sitting tight with does in estrus. There will still be some bucks looking for does throught November. The second rut will occur 28 days after the first around December 8th. Cold and warm weather can speed up or slow down rutting intensity. Another rut will occur 28 days later in January. Many 6 month old does wont come into heat until the January period along with any does missed by the bucks in Novemeber and december. Most researchers agree now , that spikes are the result of this late breeding and not geneticaly inferior to 18 month old bucks with small basket racks.

when I shoot what I am looking for thats the peak for me it is different all over from the third week of october until the end of bow it will start many years it will peak between bow and gun season

I read in the latest field and stream magazine, and they said the best day will be Nov 12th. WHO KNOWS!
