I sometimes get caught up this time of year hunting all the time I can and forget to keep shooting my 3d to keep everything tuned and on the money. I know myself if I dont shoot in a few days I'm not as sharp. I just want to remind everyone to keep shooting a few arrows everyday to stay sharp and then when you get that shot you are like a fine tuned machine. It doesnt matter how long you sit in your stand if that shot isnt on the money when you get your chance.Through 35 years of hunting I have developed patience. Patience is one of the best things you can have this time of year. With expierience come's patience and there is no substitute for it. If you see a buck with a doe he will probably be with that doe for a few days. You have plenty of time to wait for the perfect slam dunk shot. Dont shoot at a deer walking or running. Chances are she will lead him under your tree twenty minutes later and you will get a good shot. Take your time and wait for the perfect shot. If you dont blow it you will get your chance and you will have no regrets.

All good advice. Who wants to track a deer for 5 hours and a 1/2 mile? I like the woods as much as anyone but the fun ends after about 30 mins and little or no blood, after that, you are in for the long and frustrating haul.
