It is obvious that in NJ we have a lot of deer and a long season. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts would be if there was an incentive to shooting doe. What if the fish and game issued an extra buck tag for hunters to use in the season of their choice, however to get the extra buck tag you would have to shoot ... Let's say 3 doe.

It would work where i hunt...for now. A lot of deer and land owners/farmers want them gone!...would have to be very specific areas that have high concentration of deer. With next yrs automated check in though...there will be too much room for cheaters!!!

I think 6 bucks a year is enough

:)we need more deer in zones decimated in jan for last 10 yrs. also it would lead to waste. guys would just shoot and leave or just waste deer to get a tag. we already have an incentive .its early season called eab. and i agree 6 is plenty for a yr. it b hard to eat over 6 deer in a yr.ya think?

What i am suggesting is a way to get a free buck tag. We would be able to get the population in check and cut down on the cost of permits. Everyone knows the costs to hunt and I was just trying to think of a way to help us out.

agree 100% how many bucks does it take to make some hunters happy? shoot more does. i think nj should cut down on the number of bucks killed. 6 is about 3 or 4 too many now. i guess some people just want to say look how many i shot this year. poor excuse of a true hunter.
