What Do you think of this spot?

Got my stand situated between a countour edge and a swamp. The tree backs up against a little cliff and the swamp is about 50 yards in front of me. Check out the map. Seems like a good funnel to me. I also cleared out some shooting lanes so I can shoot a buck cutting through the swamp (which is grassy with sparse blueberry and blackberry bushes).

use flat landers don't have lines on ours.

i like hunting the saddles up in pa, i go to tioga every year. i hunt something like what you are showing. i hunt the edge of a big bowl, right were the laural stops. i've shot a lot of deer from that area over the years.

Shhhhhh. :D The sign on 487 says 2,449 feet so it couldn't be the top of Red Rock. Well, at least not the tippy top ;)

It's about a quarter mile from the nearest road. Private road, though. Hardly any traffic.

The "cliff" is only about 6 feet high and the prevailing wind will be coming at me from the direction of about 10:00 - 12:00 o'clock.

Oh yeah, those lines on the map are called good excercise. :D If you look all the way in the bottom left of the topo map, you'll see where I dragged a bear from in 1996. I was younger then :D.

What are you hunting Wadd? Doves? Have my shotgun and license ready but I'm supposed to be working around the house this weekend. Spending the next 4-6 weekends up at the camp. Maybe Red Rock? Maybe Dushore? Maybe World's End? Who knows? :D


Those black dots are cabins. Every one of the ones you can see belong to non-hunters and most are only around in the summer. ;)

my buddie just bought a place up in Dushore. thats in sulivan co. right? I hunt up in bradford, and stoped at his place in dushore on the way home from rifle season last year.

I'm in Lopez all the time. You hunt SGL 13 or private?

Dushore is in Sullivan. When we go "into town", that's where we go. The kids love the Jolly Trolly and lunch at the Whistle Stop is always good.
