I didnt go out today, but if it is like anything like last year we will be pounding them all season. I cant wait. This is the best time of the year because its heating up offshore and you can start to hunt.

I did get to get my first tresspasser of the season, just 2 hours into it.
Nothing like a F&G violation as well as a criminal tresspass charge to ruin your day.

I was out yesterday on the delaware river jetsking with some buddies up around the trenton/Bordontown area at high tide and was scouting some creeks that dump out into the river just south of the power plant on the jersey side. i was back in this one creek and was putting trough as my friends that dont hunt were just blasting through and all of a sudden i see some geese out in front of us, well my goofball buddies thought it would be cool to scare them off by blasting by on the jet skis. Well needless to say as they went by, the geese dident move. as i got closer i see i little green boat tucked up into the bank. With 2 guys with shot guns that dident look to happy. my buddies had no idea what was goin on as they contiued down the creek at full speed. I felt really bad being that i duck and gesse hunt a Knew if i was there hunting and a buntch of ya-hoo's came blasting through on jet skies and try to hit my decoys that i would have probly shot a warning shot into the air. I explailed to my buddies when we got back out into the river that there were guys geese hunting back there and they are lucky that the dudes dident shoot them. but i guess on labor day weekend on the river is'ent the best time to be hunting eather as there was more boats and jet skis out yesterday then i have seen all summer. but i would still like to formally apoligize to them for blowin there cover. I think it took a little wile for things to cool down after that.

P.S Nice job on those tuna Bri, Never made it out yesterday my buddies wife was sick. Give me a buzz When you get a chance. were gonna do a overnighter next week on my buddis ocean.

This was his first time on the meadow, that I know of, of course he says it was.

The problem is that the meadow is very well posted and has been every year for the last 20 years. Word will get out eventually that there are no free passes anymore.

Would you hunt on private upland without someone's permission?

I have heard the arguement about Ripirian rights on the water and it doesn't fly for this particular parcel of land. It is in the deed that he owns the meadow.

When a copy of the deed is presented in court (if it goes that far) we will win again. In fact, never had a charge dismissed yet.

The resident population is what is targeted here. They seriously need to be thinned out. Canadian Geese, just like snow geese are very tastey when prepared right.

Well, did you see the little red Lund that you passed while you were out there that was putt-putting through there?;)

The problem was that after you guys roared through there the hunter was so irate that he dispatched his firearm when I was about 35 yards from him.:confused::mad: You guys had him so fired up that he went crazy. Well, needless to say I was stunned but if I see him again I am going to give him a piece of my mind. I know he was well within his right to hunt there....but on a holiday weekend with boat traffic the way it was that was pretty damn stupid. I didn't say anything yesterday but I was steamed all day today. I wasn't about to get into it with a lunatic with a firearm that was on the brink. Just another tidbit.....when you pass anglers on the bank it would be nice to slow down a little as you go by them. Those two guys with no shirts were calling the cops on the three jetskiiers that went by as they said, "100 miles an hour". They told me as I putt-putted by them too. Don't get me wrong....I opened it up, but not to wake anyone else.

The jetskis look like fun though!

i dont recall seeing you personally. were you in the main river or back where they were hunting. some of my friends are speed freaks with these jet skis that do like 70mph:eek:. there was 7 of us out there and i think i was the only one just chillin scoutin out the area for the up coming duck season. threre is some nice hunting grounds back in there but the only thing that sucks is that you consitly have to deal with the tide and messing with the decoys, i personally like to put in at yardly access and drive up through the wing dam up around washington crossing. that way you dont have to deal with the tide. sorry if we waked you out yesterday. those kinda scoutin missions i normally like to do by myself and enjoy the undisturbed.

Unless the signs are torn down, like they have been in the past, it is almost impossible to walk onto the property without knowing you are someplace you shouldn't be.

Seems like this is the story of my hunting and fishing life.... a couple of days ago it was the Mahi Mahi.. right there and we couldn't land em.... now I was Hunting Geese with my buddy in the spruce run area .... Hunterton County .... off of VanSycles Rd. all the way towards the end by the lake.....
We seen them approx. 50 of them scattered all over the shore line on the opposite side of the lake... We called them but yet they did not come... We watched them for over two hours and finally they began to take flight... they started to make there way to us nice and low but I don't know what happened they started to bank away from us last minute just b4 they were in range.. We still took about four shots a piece but it was fruitless... to far.... then when we were heading in 1/2 after sunset.... there was about an easy hundred or so passing over us in the parking area heading right for our spot.... SOB's

anyone know of any other goose hunting spots they would care to share... the only other great spot is Down in LBI off of RT72 right alongside the bird sanctuary .... but I was looking for something a bit closer...

Gas is killing me, but its not gonna stop me from hunting or fishing!!

was out monday morning. me and my buddy and a guy with the video camera killed 26 in the morning. went tuesday night killed 17. ton of geese in our area. just finished grinding them up to make sausage out of them
