I bought a pair of clipper a few yrs ago and started grooming my Springer. I have a pair of Oster clippers. These things seem to clog up and stop cutting and I have to take them apart and clean them multiple times. I'm not sure if it is just the wrong blade or the wrong clippers. Searching the web I come across Andis clippers for around $125. anyone have any experiance with this stuff. I'm looking for something that will cut easily and not clog. I want to turn an hour job into 20 minutes.

We use both types of clippers at our animal hospital. Both are very good quality. Your problem is most likely with your blade. They can be sharpened or you can buy a new one. Clean them often while grooming and oil the blades frequently. Size 10 blades are a good general size to use.
