What would you guys think of a wildgame cooking thread?? A place to discuss new cooking methods, share recipes, and discover new tastes in wildgame. Please let me know what you think. Comments, opinions, and advice are all welcome. Thank you all in advance for your help.

Great idea. I think all of us at one time or another are looking for a new way to prepare game. I always go back to the old standby methods, but if there was a forum with new ideas right smack in front of me I would definitely give them a try. I'm happy to share mine as well.

Now I just need a few pheasants to roast...

Perfect timing for this forum considering that most seasons are open now or just about to get underway.

That would be nice. Eventually, it would make a nice cook book.

Hey Ron, when you get enough recipes, a Buck Barn cook book could be made. It would be a "hot item" (pun intended).

A cooking forum is a great idea. Eventually approved recipes could end up as their own resource, an online cookbook. I think the HuntingPa site has a whole index of recipes accumulated over the years which makes a good reference guide. Just when you think you've tried it all someone wows you! Go for it.

Yeh, I'm sure it would! But whatever we do, we're gonna keep it free and available online :)

I think this will really work out good, for all members of BUCK BARN. I can't wait to see who can come up with the best back strap recipe.

I'll add a recipe or two when I get home in June. Since it is just me and maybe one of my 3 kids eat venison, I'll just have extra to take for lunch at work. Look foward to seeing some good jereky recipes so i can get some use out of my dehydrator that's collecting dust in my cabinets at home:thup:
