I am looking to get one and wanted to know if anyone here uses one? What ones would you recommend ? Where would be the best place to get one also...I have been searching the net...so many to choose from its making me :nuts:

I used a commercial grade one in the past. Worked real well especially if you chill the meat prior to slicing. Makes some great chipped steak for steak sandwiches and such.

There is a good commercial one for sale in the general classifieds at huntingpa.com. I think he is asking around $500 but it is a good one.

good ole walmart has one for under 50 dollars and works fine for me.its not stainless steal or anything special but it slices the meat . i use for jerkey.half frozen. im not opening a deli lol

Check out Cabela,s.That's where I bought mine at .You can also check out Edgecraft corp in Avondale Pa .They make the Chef Choice knife sharpener's, But they make slicers too .I found out they make them after I got mine from Cabelas because Edgecraft is five miles from me right at the Pa and Delaware line.
