So I totally fell in love with bird hunting 4 years ago. 2 Years ago Sadie, my GSP came into my life and made me the proud owner of a great dog with a great nose. There is nothing like seeing a dog do what it was bred to do and the joy that they get out of it.
I have only hunted preserves in NJ where the birds are usually sluggish, tame, and expensive.
I really want to give Grouse a try. I know it is addicting but I am willing to take my chances. The proposition of truly hunting wild birds is irresistible for me.
Is there anyone out there who might want to educate a mid 30's grouse rookie with a day or 2 in the field?
There's a few beers and a nice dinner in it for any takers.
