There is a woman that I know who has a few rifles and shotguns which were her husbands when he was alive. She wants to get rid of them, and has asked me to help her so she doesn't get taken advantage of. Most are pretty generic, older models, in good shape but not really NIB. I'll be posting them up on the FOR SALE section shortly, but there are two that I am thinking are worth a bit more than the others. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it.
One is a Marlin Golden 39-A. Lever action .22 s-l-lr and it has a knob on the receiver that makes me think that it's a take down model. Rifle is in nice shape and I'm surprised at how heavy the barrel is on this rifle. Now I know why they say they shoot so well.
Other is a Browning Auto-5 in 12 gauge. the receiver has a lot of engraving, including the words Light Twelve and a little likeness of John Browning. It's got a 25½" barrel, vent rib, and appears to be modified choke, but I can't really say for sure. The gun was made in Belgium, and the serial number is 14XXX so it's an older one. Overall in very nice shape too, so you know the guy took care of this one.
Thanks to anyone that can help give me an idea of what these are worth.
