I love my Browning BLR 308 if you're looking for a suggestion.

Looking for another 308 as well. A gun shop on 313 had a used Winchester lever 308 with old scope for about $550. A gun you don't see much of any more....

Based upon looking at some pics on the web of a Model 88, I'd say yes.

The scope was mounted using the peep sight mounts, and I would say it was in fair to good condition. Not sure what a fair price is for that gun, but I'd say they are more rarely seen than on average.

If they cleaned it up, even re-blued it, I'm sure it would look real nice. The gun felt solid with the full stock (as compared to my BLR)

if your lookin for a quality gun for a good price then go for the Remington 700 SPS i own one for a mountain trip in NC i go on every year and would not trade anything for it. Very accurate bolt action rifle...
