JUST LOOKED ON NJ WEBSITE. some changes may b coming FINALY!!!! THERE TRYING TO MAKE NEW ZONES BOUNDRIES FOR ZONE 25 YEAH,65 19 23. HOPEFULLY THE JANUARY ONSLAUGHT WILL CEASE AROUND MY NECK OF THE WOODS. ALSO SAW THERE ADDING MORE ZONES AS TROPHY DEER ZONES 3PT RULE.AND YOUTH HUNTERS CAN SHOOT A BUCK BEFORE DOE IN EARLY SEASON.

Nice to see they are trying too bad it wont help. Guys will still just check deer for the wrong zones. I wonder how many deer are killed in 23 and checked as 19. they can change 25 but they will still slaughter everything. Not enough officers to patrol and keep up with it.:thdown:

The state can change boundaries, insert APR's, and even change bag limits. If it helps the herd and increases our chance at harvesting mature deer, do it. What I don't understand, is why have the EAB rule in effect, in zones where you can kill unlimited does?? In zones 19, 25 etc..you get close to 150 days to archery hunt, and approximately 50 days to muzzleload and or shotgun hunt, but it's necessary for me to shoot a doe in September, before I can legally harvest a buck? I understand the idea of population control, but when you allow such generous bag limits, and extended seasons, is EAB really a necessity?

rob i guess if no one shoots a doe first,they will get pregnant and some will make it through the onslaught. with so many bowhunters we definately put a dent in breeding doe before nov and dec gun seasons...hows that sound ? lmao:D

the 25 will only effect you if you live next to white oaks wma i think blue bell coles mill white hall that block, game code public input is up till the end of this month,even tho the hunting time is shorter they still sell all the permits you want, leve the weekend worrior hunt, just stop the permit sales but noooo... iguess i don't get it

I wish they would make it three points on one side in zone 35. I think it would make guys shoot more does. Where I hunt theta are only a few guys hunting and they comninually shoot spikes and y bucks which is fine, but then they complain that there are no big bucks. In all reality there are big bucks there but they are VERY hard to hunt. They ride me because I never kill any bucks, they don't realize that the bucks they shoot I have passed on numerous times.

Looks like you got your wish, zone 34 is now 3-point rule..but why not do it for ALL zones. 43, 45 and 46 should be 3-point rule also, keep a lot of guys from killing little bucks.
