went out there the 10th of october killed a nice 10. I was in Pike County had a blast cant wait till nect year going to go the last week of Oct. next year. I was told they respond to calls very well that time of year. During the rut you need a gun because they never stop:D

Tough to beat the midwest. I head to Iowa on 11/15. I've hunted out there also early in October without the best results. Some tough hunting at that time. Remarkable place when in the rut. Next time plan to be there over the 31st of October or 1st 2 weeks of Nov. I have never hunted this late for archery myself so will be another new experience

Just like here - things are heating up out there. The guy I hunt with doesn't even take hunters until last week of October as it is just too uncertain that he can provide a quality hunt as the temps are usually high and the larger deer are not rut motivated and not moving much in daylight warm weather. His first group just started yesterday.
Problem with these guys keeping you informed and sending pics is that it makes you wonder what might have been and hooks you into going back again next year
