What "new" type of ammo ? Flat or round nosed or what ?

Man a lever action jamming?? Rarer than hens teeth! Nah it happens. I've heard and just heard of a few stories that that new "lever revolution" ammo has jammed a few times in several lever action rifles. I hope thats not the case cause I just put a new scope on my tirty-tirty and was thinking about using that new "lever revolution" ammo.

Remington Express Core-Lokt 170 grain flat nose.Loaded last night and racked the action at a nice pace. 4th round jammed .My only guess is the spring in the mag is worn .Had this gun 20 years, started bout 2-3 back.Very clean.

I could take a look at it for you if you are not to far away.

Having the same problem with my 30.30. The 30.30 shells seem to slide in & out O.K. but as soon as I try putting a 300Win. in there it gets a little tight.
Seriously, had the same problem with a Marlin 44Mag. sent it back to Marlin thought they solved the problem, na.. went with a pointer bullet (re-load) now works O.K.Try the new federal 30.30s that may be the answer.

Just wondering, maybe I missed it. Are these reloads? I've had a 336 for years, was grandpa's and have never had a problem.

I shoot the Remington 200gn in my 35 Rem. Eats it without a problem. Boy I'd be bent if my favorite rifle stopped doing what its supose to.

Yeah, I feel that way now.Built a slug gun Moss 500.Gotta take her to the range, and double check her .It will do it,but ain`t my favorite. Know I won`t have her back in time.
I can drop a deer in one shot with the old girl, and my buds say just take it!
It just ain`t right..Not after what I read.

I also experienced this many times. I forget what the gunsmith said the issue was other than that I do remember him saying that when you're working the lever to get another round in, you need to take the lever ALL THE WAY DOWN. Apparently, short-jacking it [for lack of a better term] was a part of the problem.

Sounds like the chamber is too tight. Could a gunsmith bore it out a very tiny amount? Could it have build-up in it? It worked fine for years?

I own a336 and I have one qiestion did this starte after you cleaned the gun I mean stripped her down. I had a problem and found I didnot replace a screw properly that held the ejectore slid and it caused some of the rounds to misaline properly and jamed also caused the lever to not fully drop all the way down simple fixe If thats the problem also I now use the new ruger ammo. and love it fired at lest 10 box's and no problems check it out mit be the problem .worth the look:D
