Dad and i went out saturday morning in the perfect duckin conditions and ended up with 3 woodies and 2 blacks. 8 shots all day, missed 2 teal and a wood, a great morning once again!

One of the black ducks had this rice breast disease...anybody educated on this topic?

I remember reading posts about it before. I'm not sure, but I think it's harmless after you cook the meat. Just think of it as a little added protein!

For the first 40 years that i duck hunted I picked all my birds,About 10 years ago I started skinning and bresting waterfowl and first discovered the maggit like parasites in blacks and mallards shot on Raccoon creek, I called the state and was advised that had I not Skinned the birds and cooked them they would have melted away in cooking and I would have never known they were there!

They are harmless when cooked and will not harm you, however I for one discard them.And ck all my game for things that don't look right.

Nice Job. Was also out sat. morning saw alot of teal ended up with 5.
