I have tried just about every powder out there , but my two favorites are IMR and Alliant Reloader powder. My pet load is 95.2 grains of Reloader 25 in my 300 ultra mag with a 180 gr Accubond,s .Half inch group at 100yds and have shot 4 inch group at 500 meters .Chorno's at 3380fps.
That's impressive. just think- 4 @ 500 may be 8-10 @ 1K (with great conditions). I like IMR for target and hunting 308 and '06. Hodg. 4831SC in 270 is consistent in my old Win. 70.

I'd have to say my favorite powder right now is Hogdon's Varget. I've loaded that powder in .223, .243, 6mmBR, 7mm-08, 6.5x55, .308, and 30-06. It has been very stable when shooting in the heat of July and August, and also in February. It produces the best groups in some of the cartridges listed above, and in the others it allows use of different weight proectiles while still giving pretty darn good groups too. I'm also a big fan of IMR4895, IMR4064, Reloader 15, and IMR4350. Tried a few of the ball powders and had good results, but nothing that eclipsed what the stick powders could do. I've never really had the issues that some have with stick powders in my powder measures, so that's what I'm usually using.

My favorite powder for 7mm Rem Mag, 300 Win Mag and 300 Wby Mag is RL22. Hands down the best for me. In my 30-06 and 25-06, IMR4350 is my favorite.
I go through RL22 at least three times as fast as any other powder.
Favorite load is for 300 Weatherby Magnum.
88.5 grains RL22
Barnes 150gr Triple Shock bullet
Federal Large Rifle Magnum primer
Remington brass
I don't remember details about bullet seating depth. I have not adjusted the seating die in about 8 years and it's always for the same rifle.
X-man, how much 4350 in the '06 with either 150's or 165's?
