Timney Triggers just sent me a trigger for my 870.I had it at 2 lbs ,but that was a little to light so I put it at 3 .As soon as the snow melts a little I'm going to test it out .

How hard was this to install, what tools are needed, also how much and where did you buy? Thanks in advance for the reply.

How hard was this to install, what tools are needed, also how much and where did you buy? Thanks in advance for the reply. They are going to run around $90.00.I got mine from Timney because they wanted me to try one.If you have done any gunsmithing it,s not hard to put together. One thing I like is that they can be used in the 760 and 7600 Remington rifles. As far as what tools you need I used a screw driver, needle nose pliers and a couple differant pin punches.I can get them

Let us know how it turned out i use all there triggers and have been thinking about one for my turkey gun!I went to the range today to try out the trigger and loved it.To start with my trigger has very little play like some do.I played with the two and three pound spring and stayed with the three .The two was a little to light.I was shooting up some old slugs not really going for a group yet.I think the gun goes off as close to a rifle as you are going to get.

I have heard good things about the new Timney unit. Like most good products, it's not cheap. (Trapshooters who have custom units installed for pull or release triggers know these units can exceed $300.) Timney's new design is simple and unique.

For those who want to tune their Remington trigger "on the cheap," simply replace the sear spring. This part can be ordered from Brownell's and is the trigger sear spring found in Remington's target shotguns and should provide a lighter 3.5# pull. The trigger will still have creep and over-travel, but it will be significantly lighter and is a far cry better than the stock 6-8 lb. trigger any day.

(It used to be a $4.95 fix, but I see it's gone up in price over the years)
