SO you know you're on mink when......

You find the spot and realize you dont have a mink snare in the bucket. You hang a couple fox snares and go to the truck for the mink snare and head back in...and you find a sucker laying on the ice shelf near the slide in the exact spot you were 45 minutes before.

And the sucker is still breathing...LOL...:D

Over here (if you can, do what ya gotta do it's open yr round here). I'm going to try this weekend, but pred hunting solo isn't easy. Same place I've been talking about seeing them everywhere. Been checking tracks as much as I can and looks liek at least several are coming through every night. If not I know of a few spots we could bang reds out.

Well, he eluded me for now. COnnected on a couple more reds on a new piece, but no mink. May take awhile. Certain I spooked him bad or he wouldnt have abandoned lunch. Punched in a bottom edge set today just down stream of that spot.

Adam, I'll email you later on. I may be able to finish up early tomorrow and head out. Calling alone sucks. I was hoping redneck coulda made it up tonite, I dont wanna go into some of these places until I have a second gunner atleast.
