Got mine two weeks ago for 4C. Don't worry, if you don't get them right back saying sold out or no more available, you will still get it. I have received them as late as the week before opening day!

If you try it that way I'd make sure you are the first 50 guys or you won't have a chance of getting one!
I'd just send them in by mail. That way you'll have no problem in getting them!
I tried getting them that way 3 years ago and didn't even get 1!! So from then on I always go thru the mail! 5-D you can get over the counter but 5-C is tough!

First check & see if they cashed your check yet. Most of the time if you don't get it they will send your check back before anything. So, I'd say you most likely you got it but they haven't sent it to you yet!

All depends on the county treasurers issuing them. I ordered some 5C tags in 2 different envelopes. One set came as did a friends coming out of Bucks County. I would be willing to bet any 5C tags not out yet are coming out of Montgomery who have never been known for their speed or accomodating nature

We're 3B and ours always come late. We're in Sullivan County.

Can we send out for the 3rd mailing yet on 5C. I sent out the 1st time for 3A and got that back and the 2nd time for 5C and got that back. Now were we allowed to put more then one app. in the 2nd one, or just wait for the 3rd?

I went to buy them over the counter at Easton on Monday. Got there at 7:45 and I was about 50 in line. When I got my tags and left their was about 100+ ppl in line. Got them though. I figured Easton wasen't going to be hit as hard as Doylestown was and from what I heard I was right. Plus take to a couple of the ladies behinde the desk at Easton and they said they had the most tags left out of all the court houses in 5C.

A buddy of mine went to Norristown to pick his up today & they tould him there was 2000 5C's left as of 1pm today.

A friend of mine went to Norristown also to get a few! Behind the counter there was a bag full of mailed in envelopes waiting to be procesed he told me! That Sucks! you would think that they would have delt with them before they started with over the counter! But I dont no the situation!:huh:

Man, I hope that's not the case! Maybe they were the ones waiting to be sent out?

In areas like 5C, they sell out of 90,000 tags but there are still too many deer in the suburbs. Maybe they should just go with a single doe permit and have check stations. You check in a deer and you get it counted against your permit. Then you can get a permit from the check station to get another doe as long as the number of deer taken doesn't exceed the pre-determined amount. It would be a lot easier to figure out how many deer were shot, too.

Sorry dont like that Idea At All BarnesX! I just want to get a few tags!
Kill a Deer ! Get it home! Butcher it! And send in my Report Card! Yhe Key is for every one to fill out thier Report cards! Just my 2 cents!:thup:

In a lot of other states they have check stations. We have check stations here for bear. They help with the numbers. Lots of hunters forget to send their report cards in. I don't think the PGC has a good handle on deer numbers.

I no your right about the PGC! I dont no your experience with the Bear check Station but mine was a joke! Thats why I like the way tags work now! I just wouldnt want to shoot a Deer Late in the afternoon,a little
to warm out and haveing to waite for a check station 2 be open to have my Deer checked befor I can process my animal before it goes bad.:thup:

I got my bear to the check station in the early afternoon. The line wasn't too long (admittedly it would be longer for does :eek:). They weighed it, took a tooth and took a piece of hide. Taxidermist was upset about that :D. Other than that, no biggie. It was fun to talk to all the other successful bear hunters and I was on such an adrenaline high that it didn't matter what happened that day. :thup:

I drove out to Reading yesterday & got mine, They had over 1000 of 5C's left. Norristown & Doylestown are out of 5C's.

Check out Easton. I bet they have some left. I went the day they sold over the counter and they said they had the most left out of any co. treasurer. For 5C.
