1st encounter last year, Rattled him in and he ducked the arrow at 30 yards, he was Very Tense from the Rattling. Saw him twice this year during bow "Peak of the Rut", once close but not a clear shot. Spent 12 hours a day of opening of Buck week and Early Muzzy and never crossed paths with him. Put in alot of time, Thought he might be dead. Condiditions were perfect for an afternoon sit in a Ground Blind. Barometric Pressure dropping, 2nd Rut, Rye exposed from the Melted snow "finally", New Moon and a Steady SW Wind, I called into work for a Vaca Day. Had 3 does in the field by 4pm, 20 Min later He stepped out from the Exact same spot where he winded me "NW Wind" back in Mid Nov. This time He stayed on the Edge of the Field 70 yards away eating Rye behind a small bush, 4 other Bucks were behind him that I could not see yet, He waited till they all filtered out past him toward the Does before he picked up the Pace toward the others.Wind in my Face, It was a Beautiful site. I had to wait for the other Bucks to clear and then took the Broadside shot at about 60 Yards. I knew it was a good squeeze, He Reared up like a Race Horse coming out of the Gate, Dug in to run and Mule Kicked and Tore across the Field toward the Does. Snow and Mud flying Everywhere. He piled up just as he got to them. I was calm until that Point, shaking for the next 10 minutes.Great Feeling I cant describe walking up to him..I Really Earned this one, Getting a sneak mount. Hes going to look Great on the Wall with the other boys..Hope you enjoy the Story.

I Used the scoresheet off NJF&G, came back with 137/net 133 3/8 . Maybe get him officially scored someday and bring the other heads along I never had done.
