Very Kool!! Good for you! Did you go with an outfitter or kinda self guide?
Thanks! Went with an outfitter - I have been on plenty of whitetail hunts but never elk. my huntin' buddy is my father and he suffered a heart attack earlier this year so he wanted to go before he couldn't handle the trip.

I bow hunted elk in Utah a couple of years ago. I didn't tag a bull but that was one of the best hunts I was ever on. Beautiful country! Congrats on your bull!

Well worth the money for a trip out west. I've been going to Montana for a long time now every november. Mostly Whitetails but we see alot of mulies where we go. Haven't been lucky enough to see an elk yet. Once you go you will never stop thinking about it. Beautiful country! I stay with a close friend who has a house there and hunt public land. A true do-it-yourself hunt. We always kill a real nice buck and pass on several "juvies" each year. Tons of animals out there. Save your money and make it happen:thup:

It is well worth the money if you can afford it.The amount of game you you will see is unbelievable in most places.I hunted in wyoming & montana/would recommend it to every hunter to go at least once. You will not regret it-just make sure you research outfitters-they can make or break your hunt.It would be much cheaper self giuded but have batter odds w/guide that knows area.I would go every year if I could afford i.Good luck if you go
