Help me get into trapping!

Hi, I'd like the basics of trapping to help me start getting into it. Any way to make homemade traps? What are snares and how do i make them? I'm very new to this trapping scene so i need help! Thanks guys!

First you need a trapping lic and a snare cert. In nj the most important thing to know is the laws. when we lost the foot hold back in 1984 the snare took the place the courses are here to insure that that does not happen again. the course in NJ is a 2 day course. in which the person taking the course learns the laws. the tools and equipment how to set and use (Hands on) and how to kill the fur bearer and skin it, and put up.

what you want to to is find a trapper near you there are plenty around you plus a fur buyer real close. get to know these folks learn and get your lic then become a trapper.
