A FEW YEARS back i had found where someone was dumping dead deer on my F.I.L.'s farm. they were tagged, i removed the tags and call the poachers hot line and explained,, no one ever called back to follow up, i was disappointed. the metal tags would have led right to the offender, at least he should have got an illeagel dumping ticket..i guess they are short handed and prioritize.

Conservation officers
Last Friday, Commissioner Martin met with the conservation officers and quelled rumors about the officers being moved under the supervisory of the Division of Parks and Forestry.
At this point, Mark Chicketano, who headed the marine fisheries law enforcement bureau, is the acting chief as a result of the standard operating procedure executed by Tim Cussen, who resigned as the Division‘s Chief of Law Enforcement on December 31.
Commissioner Martin told the conservation officers that he would officially name an acting chief this week. Meanwhile, Martin also told the officers that the DEP would be conducting a nationwide search for a new Chief of Law Enforcement.
Interestingly, state statute says that the Director of Fish and Wildlife should be the person to execute such an action.
Also discussed in the meeting was a suggestion by Martin that the Bureau of Law Enforcement go through the Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) certification program. According to sources, this certification program would give national accreditation status to the bureau and would cost $32,000 to participate and would be $8,000 a year to stay current with. This money would come out of the Hunter Angler fund if such a scenario would proceed.

Lucky for me I have a couple CO's cell numbers, and boy did I need them last year.

I have been one to bash F&G quite a bit over the years, but this group we have today take their job serious and get it done.

Now from what I'm reading here the STATE is getting off their ass and getting something done. I guess its true, you complain enough things will get done......eventually.
