Okay I am a member of njbh and I was looking for a club like a gun club with small membership and private land primarily for bow hunters.. Any Clubs cater to bow hunters??? What do you guys think of a bow only club with private property and the comradery of a gun club but bow only...
Do gun clubs mandate that you drive deer during 6 day was considering joining a gun club but with the purpose of bow hunting. I bow hunt allthe way up to Feb. and just love the stick and string...

PS Vern here from the barn thanks again Ron..

Find a nice piece of land and talk to the owner about leaseing it for bowhunting, talk numbers, get a good core group of guys and split the expenses. I bet some farmers could sure use some help with money and this is a win-win for everybody. Start it up!! CLUB BUCKBARN:thup:

I'm in for a bow only club. My 12 year old daughter is getting her bow license in 2 weeks. She doesn't want to gun hunt at all. She has been hunting with me since she was 9. I am looking for a bow only spot. Money is always an issue. A larger group (& property) would help all around.

Sign me up. I'm in for a club. I spoke with the NJ division of fish and game and asked if a club could post on their website for farmers and land owners to access, they wouldn't comply. It's a little difficult getting out there and getting a club known but it is possible. Keep me informed as to your progress, and also if you need help.

the ubnj is working on getting a large chunk of nature concervancy property. the one along rt55 in the vineland area. i think it's around 3000ac. if they would keep it bow only it would be great. and the fee for the ubnj hunts is like $5 a season.
does this sound good to you guys? a members only big block. with a few ubnj members in there keeping the others out, it could be something in 3-5 years.
one of the CO's lives down the street and has been policing it for a while. trying to keep the hunters/tressassers out. i talked to him a few weeks ago, he thinks we will get the hunt.
i just hope it's bow only. but guns won't be too bad, as long as it's ubnj members only. with the FID card mandatory it will help weeds out some guys we don't want to hunt near. but the FID card is another post.

Count me in on all the above, have never really liked the gun hunt and can't stand the orange army. I would bow hunt even during the 6 day season.

Joe, It's Doug from your neighborhood. Did you hear any more about this? I know the piece well, and I know Scott has a tough job there. I haven't talked to him, but if he heard we could get it, that would be a great piece.

Keep your fingers crossed.
