October Tag used up [Archive]

I shot a 7 pointer on my property in NJ on Saturday morning. Wasnt the biggest deer I have seen but I dont have much time to hunt this year. I dont know how to post the picture.

Way to go bassman congrats....... I only have a few weeks left and I only seen one nice buck all season. Things are still slow and I don't know what's up. Saturday seen 4 two small ones and two nice bigs does. I'll be going out after work today hope to see my big guy.....:shoot:

The deer was not feeding at all. My bait pile is 5 yards off the trail. He never turned at all. I had a doe and a 6 point buck under me at daylight on seperate pile. the 6 poiter was small. after they left 4 doe came down the trail but did not eat. At 730 I grunted and heard the buck coming down the trail and saw him. I shot him and he ran about 25 yards and I watched him fall.

thats a good buck, better then a unused tag.

we all want the monster buck, sometimes you have to settle for the backstraps.
another tag in 9 days.
