Bleaching a rack killed in early bow season

I shot a buck during Early bow and never found it, well while I was walking my spot today he caught the corner of my eye and sure enough it was the basket 8 I shot in sept, only problem is he is in bad shape, the velvet is dry rotted and very poor shape, can I just bleach the rack and sckull cap or what could I do?

you could but do not use actual bleach. Use peroxide and try not to bleach the antlers. if you have to you can stain them when your finished.

something has to be done with the antlers, it looks like crap with all the dry rotted velvet, i guess i could boiler for a couple minutes and scrape all the velvet off then scotch bright the rack
