The past three years I rattled in a shooter.
This year the buck I killed came flying into the can. I try it a lot during the prime times and I am convinced that it is a great way to catch a bucks attention that is cruising.
I have also done it other times with nothing.
I love when the little bucks come into check out the rattling. They come in head high and straight legged grunting their heads off!!!
The past three years my success rattling and using the can was the last week of oct. to the 2nd of Nov.

Shot a nice big doe Friday thanks to the grunt tube.. I don't usually blind grunt but it has brought deer i never saw into me in the past.
They, her and a little one were walking behind me at about 60yds and had no intentions on heading my way, since I was just hunting some runs. Grunted and stopped them gave it another soft grunt and the little one came booking in. It took mom a few minutes to decide whether she should follow but she came right in. And that was with only two grunts. I always grunt soft, the only time I might grunt loud is to stop them or if its a big buck standing out there, but only if its thicker cover. They aren't stupid if you are in an open area and you grunt and they don't see another deer they might know that something is out of the ordinary, I don't hunt many wide open areas around here but that might me the perfect scineario for using a decoy.
