First buck of the year, got'm last night bout 6:30. Hit this guy with three arrows before he went down. That's why I don't use a release.

What I meant by the resease is a mechanical release. I don't think in bringing down this deer I could have nocked the three arrows I needed to stop him in time if I used a mechanical release. Just an opinion.

Maybe it would have only taken 1 arrow if you shot with a release....Maybe you would be more accurate....What is the reason you dont shoot with a mechanical release? cant be so you can shoot faster...I can launch arrows pretty quickly with mine because I practice with it....

Great deer, good job. Stuck him three times?? Was it a spine shot? Arrows get expensive........One shot, one kill:thup:

The hole you can see in the pic above looks high.

Personally, I can't imagine myself being able to nock arrows any quicker shooting with my fingers than I can with my release.

I hit that guy in one lung only on the first shot, but always get nervous there gonna run onto property I can't go on so I spined him with the second shot. I lost two deer that way last year.
