Why not buy her a great handling soft kicking Marlin 336 in 30-30 with a sling and aeither a 4X or low variable power scope, cut the stock down and fit a good recoil pad and she'll love it. You can pick these guns up brand new for $350 with the crossbolt safety or a used for less than that - older guns may not have the safety depending on year. Just my 2 cents, Ed.
