Maybe take him over to some public land. The deer hunters might thank ya. You'll be keeping the deer moving for em!

I grew up squirrel hunting. I took my boy out last Saturday and got him his first squirrel. He's hooked and we now have another brother in the hunting fraternity.
Definitely start with squirrels. It's like fishing. You start with sunnies, then work your way up to marlin.

how many acres do you have? if 5 or more problem solved. if not go to local wma in early season before the place gets all shot up and there are no more squirrels left.

Take him out, the woods are for all sportsmen. Its not like your setting out to jam someone. We need to introduce the next genaration to hunting. I know for my daughter sitting for more than a 1/2 hour with no action is it.

Take him to the public land if you are afraid of ruining your deer woods. The public woods are for everyone. If you walk up on someone hunting deer, just act as you would want them to act if they walked up on you.
This is coming from someone who is bow hunting deer almost primarily on public land the last two years.

Take him out anytime the deer will just come back. I hunt the tree rats every day after work. The deer just come right back to the same place:bow:
