Looking for a competitive price to shoulder mount a Buck.
Anyone know of a taxidermist in the 5C area?
Last price I got was $575.00.

I used a Guy named Eric Smith in the Warminster area I tried the # listed (disconnected) anyone know if he is still up and running?

I used a guy in Allentown, twice. Had a business card from a sportshow and the price was $185 for a shoulder mount. I'm sure he is at the very least double that now (this was 10-15 years ago). I will look for his contact info tonight and let you know if I can find it.

We have been using a fellow from Sweet Valley, PA for the last 8 years. He's $525.

That would be a 2 hour drive so I'm sure it's not top on your list. However, he's very good and i could give you pictures of his work.

Just for comparison, I used a guy in 3b near Ricketts Glen (Dave Sorber) last year and he charged me around $550 for my should mount. This is my second mount by him and he's done a few for Scott as well. Not sure if you will be in that area for work, but he does excellent work.

Oh yeah, there's also Mirable Taxidermy in Pheonixville. He's never done a deer for me. Just a croaker. I don't know what his prices are either. He does have a few mounts at French Creek Outfitters if you're ever there.

Sea carp? :D

I don't know, it was a nice horse croaker. The guy did a nice skin mount for $150. It's in my boy's room right now. I got it done in 1999 and it still looks great.

Hey any fish mounted is a great addition to the wall.Croakers are a beautiful fish.Like small Red Fish with out the spot.
Some of the best and I mean best skin mounts have been on Sea Bass,Small mouth and the like.

I have a 52" Striper I caught skin mount what a HUGE difference the skin mount is over the fiberglass.

Use Don Marin he is by far the best in the Philly area. Don's work aint cheap but it is awesome. The animals look better dead than alive and last forever. Moreland Rd. Upper Moreland.

My biggest croaker was 20" and 5lb+. I fileted it. Years later, I looked at the record and I think I was close.

I caught that croaker in 90 feet of water on the bottom using a bunker head for bait. I was fishing in the Chesapeake Bay. I thought it was a big striper when I was realing it in.:D
