Bear Question

i went out last night near nockamixon, on my way to my stand i saw what really looked like bear droppings, for some reason i did not think there were bears in nockamixon park, are there any ?

No not supposed to be. Many locals around here have been seeing one around here though. So who knows maybe the one that everybody has been seeing crossed through an area that you where.

I'm not sure where the park is ,but bears do roam along ways looking for new areas of their own especially the young males.There have been a couple spotted in lower Chester County at the Maryland line,but they normally go back north.The bear population in Pa is growing so they have to spread out .It's hard to tell where you will find one.

Oh trust me they are roaming here. LOL The one the PGC successfully trapped during the summer was trapped less than a mile from the area I hunt near Perkasie. But yeah locals in the Upper Black Eddy, Ottsville, Nockamixen, Kinternsville, have all been saying that they've been seeing one roaming. I also heard theirs one roaming with cubs. I haven't seen them personally, but I talk to a lot of people who have.

i was on the ground near the droppings, a little scary, i guess i am used to seeing bears in potter county and it does not effect my head too much but for some reason i am a little concerned now about this area near the nock. i will stay in my stand. :)

There was A Bear On Trooper Road 10 years ago! I no Because it
Ripped my Nephews Rabbit cage open and Ate It! His Mother Saw it!
Another one In Ambler Behind McDonalds that was captured about 8
years ago! And One right at the Oaks Exit on 422! A few years ago!
Yup! I would think there is A Bear Or 2 Around Nockamixon:cool:

They are there. My friend lives near the old rifle range and has had them in his front yard.
