Nice......grouse and Pheasants in the AM wild brookies after that sweeeeet !!!! wild grapes are like gold if you are looking for thunder chickens......killled many a grouse in patches of grape in the mountains of PA, turks love em too....had one year when they were eating so many of them they were getting drunk on them....kinda funny flushing them like roosters and watching them fly into trees land and fall back out of the tree. Saw them running into briar patches get all tangled up !!! it was a mess, almost felt guilty shooting a longbeard because he was soooo drunk he just stood there at 25 yards watching me :(while other birds were falling out of the trees and running around bumping into each other !!!! :D.

Yea it was Good to meet your Brother. Hung out with him and the dept head. Was even introduced to the Dean.
Pretty impressive. Their affiliation with Penn State has its benefits
Drove out to Dubois for a quick stop at a Pharmaceutical Co. Then rolled into camp about 8 pm
Drove nearly 400 miles that day.

Sounds like an excellant weekend.
I have made a mfew solo trips in my time as well, life is too short to plan it around someone elses schedule.
Headed north myself on the 5th for the final week of Bow(3 B).
Deer numbers are down but I cannot wait. Its my favorite place at my favorite time of year.

My early days of deer hunting were in DuBois...hunted out of that camp for more than ten years (um 30 years ago!) and took some nice bucks too.
