How have you guys been doing with the Ticks? I have spent probably 1 full week's worth of time in the woods this year. NOT ONE TICK.I think thats is amazing since its been so mild.

All early archery and scouting I didn't find a one. I think just recently cause of some warmer weather a lot of the nymphs came out. I just put up my last stand yesterday and I found 4 on me. I found 3 on me 2 days ago while walking the dog and one last night while typing on the barn. They're all the little SOB's really tinney. Oh and last night I found 2 on my springer. I think with this storm coming and the colder weather behinde it they'll be less again. I've only notice this increase within the past several days. The soil is finally moist and I know thats what they love.

I only had one tick this spring while trout fishing, noticed him on the ride home. But overall this has been my best year for avoiding ticks. (Knock on wood.)

Haven't had a tick on me all year until the last 2 weeks. Picked 4 off of me in the last 2 weeks. They were very tiny as well. Hopefully this cold weather this weekend will shut them down for the year.

Found one in my house. He was all fat and stupid looking. Most have fed off my dog until he was to fat and lazy to do anything but just lay there and sleep it off. I put him in the toilet, took a duke on him and flushed him to the sewer.

Ticks are vile and have no purpose on this earth.

Have seen and experienced scores of ticks in Orange County, NY this year. The warm weather is not helping either. We need a good cold snap.

Pulled 4 off of Briar, two off of Ticket and 1 off my beagle, Chaps. I think the ticks stay away from Chaps because he smells really bad!!!

So decided to do a close up inspection of Ruger today (my GSHP) and found two of the little blood suckers on him! One was easy to get off the other was buried, but got him in the end. Our springer (Jake) just got back from the groomers today. Found another on his head!! About an hour ago the ol' lady and I are watching a movie and I feel something on my back. I go to scratch. I thought oit was a scab. With repeated scratches and no scab I questioned this odd "thing" on my back. Yeah you guessed it. The worst part about it all is the little SOB buried himself in me!! We got him out( in 2 pieces). Not a limes otherwise would of never seen him. Still very tinny. Now I got this bruse looking mark where the lil bloodsucker was. Nice thing about all this is the ol lady is a nurse and she took care of me:D:D:D:eek:

I had a load of chiggers on me today but no ticks. I was in the woods in waist high blue berries. I thought it was prime for ticks not chiggers. I always heard chiggers were in high grass by the roads?
