Today I went out and was in my tree by 3pm.

By 5 pm I had 7 doe and a small spike chasing them all over the woods.

Just when things settled down and the deer started to eat the corn and apples, I heard "ANSWER YOUR PHONE JOE"

It was my wife in the back yard yelling at me because I LOCKED HER AND MY SON OUT OF THE HOUSE:huh:

Needless to say I called her on the phone and got an ear full .

Had to get out of the tree at 6:15.. Not very happy. Nor was she..

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE:naughty:

i had a phone call from the wife last night at prime time, and had deer within 30 yards. normal stupid crap call.

and she wonders why i really don't hunt my own land behind the house. i got tired of the car horn going off when she thought i hunted enough.

i know your pain.

Nice thread,
Got a call two nights ago from my Sgt for Police stuff. When I whispered into the phone, he seemed alittle set back. Then I explained to him that I was in a tree trying to shiskabob a deer, he appoligized. I always put it on vibrate. I would leave it at the truck, but need it for work incase something bad happens.. Anyway, Iwould be pissed if it went off when I was drawing. I probably would drop my bow out of the tree:fight:

Where I usually hunt, there is no cell phone reception. No issue.

They have gotten me on the two way when the family comes along to the cabin. I usually have that off, though. We leave one on in the cabin in case someone needs to call in from the field.

Cell phone is not the issue for me. If I did not call her back or she knew I did not have my phone, she would have come back there looking for me.:fight::huh:
