Hunted with dad and two buddies this morning bright and early. Woodies and teal were flying all over, sounded like a war zone in the distance for about the first 15 minutes of the season. :D Downed 4 woodies and a hen mallard for the short morning. Tide was very very low for a high tide due to the wind. It did not help matters at all. Good shoot over all and a great start to the season! :thup:

Is that all blocks you threw out? I have access to a little river that there are alot of woodies on. I was thinking about just throwing out a half doz. decoys because i usually see them in little groups dispersed around the river.

Will the woody's decoy to mallards or should I put a a few woody's too?

We tend to throw a bit of everything at them fluke. Today we had teal decoys, woodies, and mallards out. Had some blacks flying around but they tend to not come in when its warm, like this early season.

Awesome pics Steve-o!!!! Woodies sure are pretty ducks and I think some of the best eating ducks..........
