I was reading to quarter it up and put it on ice bc its so warm out right now.. any suggestions thats the only reason holding me back right now bc they are def. there!! thank you!

Just gut it asap, get it out of the woods, put a couple of bags of ice in the cavity get it to a deer check station quickly and you will be ok. Do some homework and make sure you know where you can go and what time they close. You may have some challenges if you shoot a deer in the afternoon. If you can find a deer check that is also a butcher they tend to be open later.

I freeze gal. milk jugs and soda bottles 2 and 3 ltr. This time of year I pack my cooler in the back of the truck and before I leave the house fill it with the frozen bottles. This way I have ice with me in the field when I get to my truck to put in the cavity. And I have a nice cold drink after the long hot drag... If I don't shoot they go right back in to the freezer for the next trip..
Also have your butcher's number in your cellular phone I know mine will wait for me if I call him from the field.
