Lets keep the contest local. PA-NJ.

Sure have a few guys bring in a Saskatchewan Deer as ringers what fun is that for the rest of us sitting in the swamps of jersey pokin at piney deer.

Personally I rather have the Flavor of NJ - PA Deer. Start mixing in a few guys that can hunt outside the 2 states that would seem to be a bit unfair.


I know of 2 groups that hunt NC every year with Muzy/rifle. The hunt is soooo set up for them. The area is pre baited,hunters are driven out to a 20 foot blind told to sit there shoot anything that comes along. Don't move till 5 pm we will pick you up. Then my scouts will locate your deer while I drive you back for Supper.Your Deer will be boxed up and ready for your departure.

Guys shoot 3 Bucks and 5 Does in one sitting. Don't think its fare to the rest of us lets stick with PA - NJ

BTW I have no problem with those NC hunts. Some of the guys I know that do them are very good hunters. They enjoy that type of hunt every once in awhile. Nothing against them, the style or anyone else who chooses to hunt that way

I think most guys are local and hunt local. But It wouldnt bother me one way or another if they entered deer from outside the area. Without an inside measurement in the points you get no more credit for shooting a huge 8 pointer from canada rather than a 1 1/2 year old basket from the pines that had 8 points, so it doesent matter to me. Also NJ you should say now what a point is, some guys may still go by the "hang a ring on it". You will be an asshole if it comes down to your teams deer and another teams deer and you have to decide during the season. Think about all the rules and post them clearly now, or it will be a problem later.

Man you guys are fighting already. Thats kinda why I asked when you signed up for your name and location. This is all for fun so why fight about it hunt what ever state you want. Like upbow says an 8 point is 8 points if it scores 160 or if its a small basket. I dont want guys to quit. Now this brings up the question is it only whitetail or mulies and blacktail. I dont hunt out of state so you guys decide. As far as antler points a point must measure 1 inch to count if it is close take a picture next to a ruler. Now lets all hug and make up good luck all.

I don't plan on hunting NJ and I don't want to argue about petty bullshit.

I'd rather quit because I signed up thinking it was open playing grounds. Now that I know that any deer I shoot in NY doesn't count I'd rather give my spot on team 7 to someone who will be able to participate. I think your just jealous buddy guy ;)

As you can see NJ has allowed you to stay in and hunt where ever your heart desires.

Ok guys its over everyone has said thier part. If you remember last year Ron and the other mods did not want to have a contest because of the fighting it causes. Its done. We are not going for a million dollar prize here. I never said before the sign ups that it was local only. That was my fault. It will be open to hunt any state maybe next year we will have a local contest.

im on 100 private acres lol sure the deer moves but i got everything he needs plus 25 is big sure theres more then one 8 with split brows we will post pics see if its same deer

Don't worry fellas Team 1 will win again now that ANY states entry is allowed. I'm hunting Western KY the first week in Nov. and Illinois the second. Unless you guys plan on shooting 10's or better..just hang it up now. :D:fight:

Yeah he was a 6 last year believe he is 3 1/2 got a spike that is about 15inches too really wanna give him another 2 years but I know if I don't shoot him someone will could you imagine prolly hit 150s in 2 years
